January in Pictures

OMG

Imagine my surprise and DISMAY when I realized the other day that I hadn't done a January in Pictures post. Completing the family Christmas ones was my main goal and beyond that I dropped the ball.

Thanks for not giving up on me friends and family!

This will be fast...
---------------
Family:
We celebrated NYE at Trisha and John's along with John's brother's family. Gwendolyn and Jillian had fun together and were making Conrad crack up with their "Happy New Year!" It was pretty cute.
NYE 2013
He just gets SUCH a kick out of everything Sissy does.
I won't miss these days, but they sure do look cute all bundled up.
We love our before nap reading time!
This was back in January when Conrad wasn't rolling over yet. I thought I was brilliant for finding a "safe" place for him to play. It was brilliant until he rolled off the bed.
Love how they're sitting...
Preparing for baby Tenley to arrive with pedicures and dinner. So fun!
Hope this isn't a sign of what's to come....
(notice who is pulling who's hair.)
She's here!
Tenley Kay
January 28th, 2014

We love her so much!!
She was only four days old in this picture. Squish!
Totally unplanned and unscripted.
Gwendolyn loved building her first snowman with daddy on a randomly nice day in January. Notice they're holding hands....love.it.so.much.
She had never seen a snow angel before so she was pretty intrigued...
And then gave it a shot herself, avoiding touching her hands to the snow, of course.
Bath time fun.

Gwendolyn:

I love her.
Fun at a free music class we attended at the Cottage Grove Library.
Matthew and Kate came over for a few hours while their mommy could go to an appointment. We hang out with these two quite a bit. And their mommy is expecting in July! Woohoo!
Snuggling is our favorite.

Think I can get another year out of this coat?
I wish.

January 2013 vs January 2014
She's got this whole system going on over there in her little corner...just sittin' on her stool with heels on giving her a baby a bottle while Elmo waits patiently.
Gwendolyn rarely turns down snuggle time.
We were officially POTTY TRAINED!!

Started on Friday, January 24th and it took about a week. Had a couple of rough days (for mommy) in there, but really for the most part it wasn't horrible.
Gotta love before and after haircut pictures.
I'm loving her with a little bob so much, I'm not sure we'll ever grow it out long!

Conrad:
Ohhh, how I love him in his winter hat.
Just relaxin' before nap time.
"But I don't want you to leave the rooooooooom mommyyyyyyyyy."
Hanging out in the kitchen with daddy.
That bottom! Those rolls! Those cheeks! Those other cheeks!

Just when I thought I couldn't love him more, he went and started putting his head on my shoulder when he gets tired. This baby wears me out emotionally.
I love the many faces of Conrad Cross...
9 month appointment on January 28th.
That's almost 25 pounds of pure squishy love right there!

He survived his first (and hopefully last) pout of pink eye as well.

Off to sleepy land...
