Sinclair Family Christmas 2013

We went back to Okoboji again this year, just like last year. It never disappoints! I was a bit nervous about sleeping in a one room two-queen bed hotel room, but the kids did well. Conrad slept like a champ this first night (through Gwendolyn's horrific constipation issues, poor girl) and then of course was up every few hours the other two nights. Stinker. But we forgive him.

Reunited!!!
Wyatt going in for a hug...
I hear quite a bit how Conrad looks a lot like my brother, Scott, which cracks me up.
There are times that I absolutely agree, especially with Conrad's funny personality.

Twins!

Maybe it's the brown eyes.
Buds.

This was funny...right before I snapped this, I overheard Gwendolyn tell Nathan, "you be the daddy and I'll be the mommy."
Tom dominated the CLAW and against all odds won Gwendolyn the newest member of her stuffed animal family - Rudy!

(Wish we had this on video - it was hilarious. Took three tries. Our hearts were racing. There was screaming and clapping. Domination, I tell you.)
Happy 13th birthday to NOAH! Love that kid.
POOL TIME!

First time swimming...he was most content being held on the lazy river. Wasn't so sure about sitting in the water all by himself.
Triplets this year...
And last year...

GIFT OPENING!
This years homemade gift exchange was taken to a whole new level.
See that bench Sara is sitting on? Yeah, that was included. Robert put his woodworking skills to some majorly impressive use.
Mom's eight frozen meals were also a huge hit.
Here is Becca stealing them from Sara...so mean.
Becca opening Scott's gift...you know it's going to be good when she can't talk, she's laughing so hard...
Store bought wine with HOMEMADE labels.

Hilarious.

(Note the "do not drink and parent.")
Nikki made an adorable family calendar with pictures of everyone. I don't have a good picture of the actual calendar, but I was excited to open it! Didn't get to keep it for long, of course...
Scott was the super lucky ducky to get my gift - Ballard Design inspired vases with seasonal decorations.

Right up his alley!

Unfortunately for him, he had the last number and it was the last gift so there was no getting rid of them. Nikki graciously and enthusiastically took them home and with a few changes, has made them look fabulous in their living room. Bless her heart.
Tom's gift: homemade salsa, apple butter, jam and bread fresh from the bread machine.

We snagged four delicious sugar scrubs...
And another Brent Sinclair craftsmen style master piece to go along with the other items in our collection from him. Love it! (And thanks to Sara too b/c I know it was a joint effort.)
KID'S GIFT OPENING!

7 grandchildren in 2013
8 grandchildren in 2014

I'm still amazed at the enormous difference a year makes in the lives of these little ones! Love them all so much.

Yay! I finished our Christmas posts. Maybe that'll be the push needed to bring on Spring.

p.s. I already have my gift idea for next years exchange Sinclair gang. Just you wait.
