Hey everybody! I'm eight weeks old today, which means I'm almost two whole months old! It's really fun being eight weeks. Let me tell you all about it!
• Mommy says I'm full of joy and smile with my whole face. I raise my eyebrows, wrinkle up my nose, and grin really big. I think my smiles make her really happy, which makes me happy. In fact, sometimes I smile for no reason. I'm just happy to be here guys...
• It seems people are having a hard time believing I'm only eight weeks. Someone guessed that I was seven months old. Now, I get that I'm a bit chunky and tall for my age but SEVEN months?!
• I'm really starting to talk and coo more - it's nice to finally have a voice around here.
• Mommy is telling everyone how sweet of a baby I am. Of course, I won't disagree with her. She says I'm calm and content and love to just look around, I am a rock star eater, and to top it all off - I have been consistently sleeping between 4-5 hours the first stretch at night! I make it pretty obvious when I'm tired (even have started rubbing my eyes) and after a bit of jiggling, off I go to sleepy land. Take a look at this track record...
June 17th - 4 hours
June 18th - 5 hours and 10 minutes
June 19th - 4 hours and 50 minutes
June 20th - 4 hours
June 21st - 4 hours and 25 minutes
June 22nd - 4 hours and 30 minutes
I'm going down anywhere between 9:30 and 11:30, but mommy says 10:30 is preferable. (Sheesh...picky, picky!)
• Back to how sweet I am though...it's very true. Mommy and daddy are always saying "I can't believe he's just sitting there" or "I can't believe he falls asleep so easily" or this and that. I appreciate the compliments and I'll try to keep up the good work.
• The days of my 0-3 month onesies have come to an end.
• My hair is already coming back in and mommy says my peach fuzz is super soft! She's always kissing my head. And face. And tummy.
• I actually really like baths for the most part. They're very relaxing if my parents can time them right.
• Sissy goes to daycare one day a week so I get to stay home with mommy. She's back to work with her photography business so we snuggle and she works while I sleep.
• The weather's been a bit iffy around here lately. We survived two nights without power (came back on both times thankfully) and lots of loud thunder. I wasn't scared though and slept through it all.
• I've been getting lots of mail! I think I could get used to getting presents. Cards, clothes, blankets, DVDs to share with my sissy, ISU gear, gift cards, and even a beautiful engraved frame. I am well loved!
• I took my first bottle like a champ this past week! Daddy loved giving it to me and mommy says she feels free!
