Great friends in Des Moines

I spent last weekend in Des Moines with fabulous friends. I love my girlfriends and appreciate all of their unique qualities and the many ways they enrich my life. Some I have known since before I was even riding a bike, while others have become faithful confidants in the last 7 or 8 years. No matter the time spent making memories and enjoying life together, they have all been there for me through the good, the bad and the ugly (anyone remember my 5th grade short hair/big red glasses?) I hope and pray that good and wonderful things continue to happen in each of their lives...

This is Celeste, my Pi Beta Phi little (taller) sis and one of my best friends. No, we are not sisters but yes, we occasionally enjoy pretending we are.My friend, Deana, inspires me every day. Her son Andrew thought it would be funny to put his pet frog on my shoulder (look closely.) Thankfully it wasn't his pet cricket! Her other son, Will, was a very, very scary pirate. Charles City girls celebrating Libby's bachelorette party! I basically grew up with most of these girls. It just amazes me to think about all we have been through and all we have to look forward to (an October wedding and a February baby!) We had a blast catching up, opening gifts, eating at Graze and taking a Hummer limo out and about in Des Moines.
Me and Libby, the soon to be bride. I am so excited for her to experience married life and all it's greatness. *smile
