24 Weeks with Baby #2

I had three different people say, "you're pregnant?!" to me at church yesterday after not realizing I was expecting. Was I really hiding it that well?! Cracks me up. Yep! Very much 25 weeks pregnant. Can't believe we're only 15 weeks away. That's basically 3 months. OMG. We have a lot to do in 3 months.

Per usual, I'm a bit behind with this post, but here are my 24 week belly pics and update....

How Far Along: 24 weeks on 1/4/13

Size of baby: Almost a foot long, length of an ear of corn, which puts him at just over a pound.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 5 lbs at my 24 week appointment on 1/8.

Maternity Clothes: Yes, for church otherwise living in comfy-I-am-a-stay-at-home-mom clothes! It's a dream! (and in case you were wondering...the maternity suits are adore and fit perfectly! Love Old Navy!)

Gender:  BOY! BOY! BOY! BOY! BOY! BOY! Finally I can say it!

Movement: Yes! I just love it! I felt the baby for the first time at 16.5 weeks and Tom felt the baby at 17 weeks. It never ceases to amaze me!

Sleep: Still fabulous. I was just talking to Tom about this this weekend..."Do you remember when it gets hard?" Ha. For a moment I thought maybe we'd be able to skip the poor sleeping altogether, but then he had to remind me that he doesn't think it started for a few more weeks with Gwendolyn. It was never that bad...just up to go to the bathroom or whatever.

What I miss: Being able to take Advil for back pain and headaches. Tylenol is so weak.

Cravings: Nothing to report right now. Still keeping it pretty plain and simple.

Symptoms: Oh, there's symptoms alright. Being pregnant is not for the birds!

Best moment this past week: There are so many sweet moments that seems to happen every day, but telling the last of family that we were expecting a BOY and getting so many sweet texts and emails and message after people received our New Years card was really special. I've had a few people tell me that the bond between a mommy and a son is unlike any other, which just amazes me since I didn't think it could get any better than what I have with my Gwendolyn! I'm excited to experience so many new things with him.

  1. You are definitely long and lean for being 24 weeks. I can't wait until you can't see your toes again. :) Just kidding. You do look fabulous whether people know you are pregnant or not. Maybe you should start wearing your Old Navy swimsuits to church.
