This Halloween was no monkey business. We went trick or treating twice and got good use out of our steal of an $8 costume. I hit up my favorite local secret spot and could have bought several of their basically new costumes, but since Gwendolyn's monkey impersonation is one even Ellen would think was adorable, we decided it was perfect. Hard to top last year's kangaroo, but this was quite fitting.
First stop? Kowalski's (local grocery store) Boo Bash! We'd heard you get pretty good loot and came home with organic fruit snacks, chocolate milk, individual bags of gold fish, chips, and pretzels, a free movie rental and other stuff. It was cold and rainy that evening so it was great to be inside!
They had a little photo op outside. I love a good photo op.
Fast forward to Wednesday night and trick or treating in Eden Prairie ..Lukey Do got into the spirit as the cutest puppy I ever did see!
Guess who then wanted her picture also in the Bumpo and instantly said "cheeeeese"?!
(Doesn't she look older than 19 months, by the way?? Cracks me up.)
The adorable crew!
This picture makes my day. Gwendolyn's half a block behind Grand and Brooke but so pleased with herself and trying so hard to keep up. She was an absolute hoot. Basically had no idea what was going on, but loved digging her hands in the candy bowls, saying "tri treat" and "thank you" and waving good-bye. If the house had a puppy, that was just an added bonus. There was one point her bucket was so full and heavy, she was basically limping but she refused to let anyone carry it for her. We snuck some candy out when she wasn't looking to lighten her load. Sweet girl. She walked a good portion of our time out (hence being a half block behind the two big kids) and ended up sleeping from basically 7:15 pm to 8:00 am. Tired girl! She worked so hard for that candy!
Where to next, guys?
Never too many adults accompanying the children. I think we had just as much fun as they did.
Trick or treating at Batman's Uncle Greg and Aunt Natalie's house....for the second time.
Family pic!
She has no interest in the candy (thankfully), which is just fine by me!
Mini Snickers and Butterfingers?! Don't mind if I do!
