Some super exciting news!
I got my compression stockings in the mail!
WOOHOO!
How fun and sexy, right?! Oh, you have noooo idea.
I was dressed for church with super tight compression stockings on under my black skinny pants AND a tank top under my sweater...I wasn't about to deal with all those layers for a bare belly picture, and I'm almost certain no one really cares.
Pregnancy Highlights
How far along: 26 weeks as of November 30th
Weight gain: I've been running and lifting and swimming as often as possible so hoping for only a few pounds since my last appointment.
NOT.
Which just reminded me....I purchased a pre-natal work out DVD with over 40 exercises...yoga, pilates and cardio. And it has yet to be opened. Tomorrow. Tomorrow is the day.
Maternity Clothes: My amazingly generous friend Laura loaned me two bags of maternity tops (and included a Gap sweater for Conrad - tags still on) and I'm in heaven! So many cute, soft, comfy shirts. Not that I didn't have plenty before, but it's always fun to get some new things, especially casual stuff I can wear everyday.
Gender: My chiropractor has predicted girl based on my left hip being out. Whether this has any scientific backing, I'll never know, but it's always fun to hear people's guesses.
My mom also texted me a picture of Gwendolyn last week wearing her Christmas dress when she was 9 months old and said that she did believe another baby girl may be able to wear it next Christmas.
Then I got two guesses for boy last night.
(Can you believe the gender is sealed in an envelope somewhere in this house?! I finally had to make Tom hide it from me because it was too tempting.)
Sleep: Back to being amazing. Kids have been sleeping in until 7:30ish or even later! The other morning they were both still sleeping at 8:00. So nice!
Message to baby:
I was feeling a little guilty the other day that I've been doing too much complaining. I have my tough days, but then there are moments that I don't want to end....like last night when you were moving around like crazy after we had just climbed into bed and daddy and I were giggling at you. If only we knew what was going on in there. He was feeling you on my right side and I could feel you all over in every direction...you must have been having a dance party! It's my favorite time of the day. I've always said I love the weeks in the 20's because you're clearly pregnant and usually sleeping well and not super uncomfortable. It hit me the other day that the weeks in the 20's are almost over! *tear. I hate thinking that I haven't soaked it all in enough. Even when the days are sometimes long, it seems time still flies by.
I have worries that you're going to be much larger than your brother and sister. People haven't hesitated to tell me how big I am for only being 27 weeks. ("You still have a long way to go!") I take it with a grain of salt and I'm also keenly aware of it, but I'm thinking you may just be over 9 lbs.
I can do this.
I can do this.
I can do this.
Anything for you. :)
We love you so much.
Love,
Mommy
