In the days leading up to July 1st, 2014 I had complete peace about the outcome. I was excited and eager to find out. Either way, I knew it was in God's hands and His timing would be perfect.
And it was confirmed...that the God of the universe who numbers the stars was back at growing our family. He saw fit to bless us with another baby boy or girl to add to the joy and laughter in this home. I don't take it for granted and give Him all the glory and honor for choosing us to parent this tiny babe. I love that He has such great confidence in us - me - when my own confidence is in the pits. These are his precious children that He's gifted to us, and I just pray we'll continue to stay focused on that which is most important....pointing their little souls to Him.
Dear Baby #3....
You are so loved! We talk about you and dream about you and can't wait to meet you around March 8th. Gwendolyn has nicknamed you "Blockin Junior" although now she's saying she wants to drop the Junior. (No clue where Blockin came from.) Conrad has absolutely no clue, but we melt when he says "baby" which comes out like "baba." It's so precious. Gwendolyn says she wants "lots of babies" and that she and daddy will take care of them. She also says "if it's a boy, we'll be SO happy and if it's a "gurl" we'll be SO happy TOO!" So true!
You gave me a run for my money in July and August, but I'm feeling much much better now. I was nauseous (never got sick thankfully) and absolutely exhausted. Daddy stepped up in big ways, and praise Jesus for regularly scheduled nap time. Your brother and sister make my life pretty easy considering, and didn't seem to mind eating the same three things over and over for lunch. We survived! And so far you're healthy, which is what is most important.
We heard your heartbeat on August 18th - it was 165. Is there a sweeter sound? It's one of my favorites.
Those first 8 weeks seemed to drag on, but now it seems time is flying. I'll be 15 weeks this coming weekend. That's almost half way through!!?
We're basically at square one for names. Since we're not finding out your gender, we'll need to discuss both girl and boy names (although I'm pretty set on a girl name...just need daddy to come around.) Lord help us. And He will.
I looked 18 weeks pregnant at about 10 weeks this time around. It's incredible! And it definitely hasn't been as easy to "hide." So ready to break out the maternity clothes.
Needless to say, there are plenty of unknowns but the one thing that we do know is that God is in control. He'll sustain us and provide us with what we need, like He always does. I pray our faith keeps us strong and we grow and change in ways we never would have without you entering our lives. I'm giddy at the thought of meeting you and seeing what you add to our family. Get ready for lots of hugs and kisses!
Praying for you always.
Love,
Mommy
