Wet rag & stairs

This girl loooooves her daddy. He is silly and gentle and loving and playful. She doesn't react the same way to me or anyone else when I try to replicate the game. I take no offense. He's irreplaceable.

I told ya the game was fun *smile.

You know how I love to capture big first-time events so of course I was tickled when Tom and I were both home to witness Gwendolyn going up her first stair all on her own. I had been her assistant one other time when her pj's made it too slippery, but this - my friends - was all Gwenny.  I need to tape her going up our carpeted stairs - her wobbly-ness and little toot bottom are just adorable.
I pray the true reason for the season is upon your heart this day. I know how easy it is to get lost in the gifts and the wrapping and the decorations and the food and lose sight of the most important gift of all - Jesus Christ. Now that I am a mother and have experienced the birth of my own child, His birth has taken on a whole new meaning. He was born to save us and to set us free. What a Savior! We are so undeserving yet so in need of His grace and mercy.

 Silent Night
Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Saviour is born
Christ, the Saviour is born

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth"

And with that, the Barntsens wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
