Joy Finder

Seek to cultivate a buoyant, joyous sense
of the crowded kindnesses of God
in your daily life. - Alexander Maclaren
-----------------
I have been encouraged and blessed by the writings of Ann Voskamp recently. She takes stunning pictures and writes so effortlessly -- her words have touched my heart. I am excited to see how God works through her as I continue to follow her journey. Starting today, I am going to join her Gratitude Community and every Monday give thanks for both the obvious and often ignored blessings that enrich my life. As of today, she has posted 1,264 things in which she is thankful. It's often so easy to focus on that of which we do not have instead of that in which we do. I want to transform my mind and heart to start noticing and giving thanks for even the small things -- the seemingly unnoticed things. It is all from Him anyway, and I am thankful that His mercies are new every morning.
